Biography:
Dr. Jeffrey Reed is the Willis G. Worcester professor in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the director of Wireless at Virginia Tech. Dr. Reed’s areas of expertise are in software radios, smart antennas, and ultra wideband. His books, Software Radio: A Modern Approach to Radio Engineering was published by Prentice Hall in 2002 and his book An Introduction to Ultra Wideband Communication Systems was published by Prentice Hall in May 2005. Dr. Reed is a Fellow of the IEEE.
